Women and abstraction in Italy, held in the splendid setting of Villa Comi in the Municipality of Como, one of the major centers of abstract art at national level and international.38 artists exhibited in a path that intends to emphasize the importance these women have had for abstract art and beyond, providing a new interpretation to their works and giving them back the role they deserve.The in-depth contents can be used on site and remotely through the APP, accessible in Italian and English.Through a route on the map and the presence of Qr code, visitors can learn more about the works on display, the biographies of the artists, the historical story of the context, get in touch with the Como area.The exhibition unfolds along 7 sections in which to investigate the centrality of Como as a genius loci and the forms in which abstract art has been able to express itself: PIONEER, SIGN / WRITING, GEOMETRY, SPACE / LIGHT, BODY / ACTION / RE-ACTION, MEDITATION / CONCEPT, MATTER.
